MEN BRINGS MAYHEM TO RUTLAND

The Bodyslams and Suplexs were back in full force Friday night at the Rutland Centennial Hall. Hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Kelowna, over 200 area residents gathered for an evening of hard-hitting live wrestling action. The performance was put on by Okanagan-based promotion company, Thrash Wrestling, who performed a similar show “Psycho Mania” at the Luso Canadian Multicultural Society in Penticton on April 1 this year.

With a return to live events, the evening was Kelowna Kinsmen Club’s first major fundraiser of 2022, with the proceeds going to support their goal of funding many Kelowna-based projects and supporting regional community and sports organizations.

“It’s been more than two years of pandemic since our club hosted a big event like this, but we pulled together and didn’t miss a beat. But the event couldn’t have gone any better and we’re so glad to be back hosting events like these for the community!” said Kinsmen Club President Kelly Hutchinson

Friday evening’s event featured World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstars, the Bollywood Boyz, Gurvinder "Gurv" Sihra and Harvinder "Harv" Sihra, as well as many performances from aspiring wrestling amateurs over several events. The Ladies Match featured Angelica vs. Scarlett Black, the Tag Team Turmoil featured Braydon Goss & Jordie Taylor vs. Collin Cutler & Scotty Mac. Other matches featured “Dream Killer” Jayce D’Arcy, “Top Drawer” Michael More, and the Kelowna debut of Mighty Lokombo!
